What Approved means
Approved means RareReg has accepted the vehicle into the registry based on the information provided and RareReg's registration requirements. Approval means the registration passed RareReg's acceptance review. It does not mean RareReg authenticated the vehicle's specialty identity.
What RareReg Verified means
RareReg Verified means RareReg reviewed and accepted sufficient evidence supporting the vehicle's specialty authenticity, identity, or build information. Verification is tied to the vehicle/VIN record, not a general endorsement of an owner, seller, dealer, listing, or transaction.
Approval does not automatically grant Verified status. Only Verified vehicles receive RareReg's gold verification designation.
Qualifying specialty-authenticity evidence
Evidence may qualify when RareReg determines that it is official, vehicle-specific material supporting the claimed specialty identity. Examples include:
- An original window sticker.
- A manufacturer build sheet.
- A body, door, or data tag showing the VIN, build identity, or build number.
- A manufacturer certificate of authenticity.
- Saleen, Shelby, Roush, SVT, or comparable specialty-builder documentation.
- A manufacturer or authorized specialty-builder letter confirming authenticity.
- An original dealer invoice specifically documenting the specialty package.
- Other official manufacturer or specialty-builder documentation.
An uploader-selected document category is metadata only. RareReg Admin review determines whether the submitted file qualifies and whether the total evidence is sufficient.
Non-qualifying documentation
Online listing screenshots, social-media posts, handwritten notes, generic receipts, unrelated service records, and other unofficial material do not establish specialty authenticity. Accepting or retaining a document does not by itself make that document qualifying authenticity evidence and does not make the vehicle Verified.
Carfax and vehicle-history reports
Carfax and similar vehicle-history reports do not verify specialty-vehicle authenticity and do not count as specialty-authenticity evidence for RareReg verification. They may identify the underlying base vehicle, but they generally do not establish the authenticity of a Saleen, Shelby, Roush, SVT specialty model, COPO, Yenko, Hennessey, or another specialty conversion or package.
What verification does not mean
RareReg Verified is not:
- A mechanical inspection, warranty, appraisal, title insurance, or guarantee of legal ownership.
- A guarantee of condition, seller statements, originality of every component, investment value, or future collectibility.
- A guarantee against fraud or that a VIN has never been altered.
- Factory certification unless the reviewed record specifically includes supporting factory documentation.
Users must still conduct independent due diligence.
What Unverified means
Unverified means RareReg has not completed its optional verification process successfully for that vehicle. It does not automatically mean the vehicle, owner, seller, listing, or information is fake, fraudulent, or inaccurate.
Verification process
The owner or authorized dealer will be asked to provide appropriate vehicle documentation or information for review. Requirements can depend on the vehicle and claimed specialty identity. Document acceptance, authenticity-evidence classification, and the final vehicle verification decision are separate review steps.
RareReg may request clarification, decline verification when the available material is insufficient, or later revisit a status if material information changes.
Current pricing
- Free registration: $0. A qualifying vehicle is Unverified unless verification is completed successfully.
- Private-owner verification: $14.99 one-time per vehicle.
- Featured: $9.99 add-on, separate from verification.
- Seller and dealer plans use the exact vehicle capacities and prices published on the Pricing page.
Featured eligibility
Only a currently Verified vehicle is eligible for Featured or hero placement. A confirmed $9.99 Featured purchase provides 30 days of placement. Verification does not automatically make a vehicle Featured, and Featured does not expand the meaning of verification.

Seller and dealer plans
Seller and dealer plans are limited to the vehicle capacity published for each tier. Access activation and subscription lifecycle enforcement must be complete before checkout is enabled. See the Dealer Terms.
